Are You Looking to Help Prevent Holiday Body Fat?
Well, look no further.
Ahhh… “The Holidays“. What a great time of year. Friends, family, parties, food – lots of food and yep…FAT.
And if the holiday traffic, over crowed malls and angry rushing people weren’t enough, many of us receive a gift weighing a few pounds which was not on our list.
What can you do to effectively win the war and beat the battle of the bulge this holiday season?
Well, here are a few things you can do.
- Maximize Your Metabolism-

We all have too much to do and not enough time to do it. As a result our workouts often suffer or are skipped totally because we are rushed or too tired after shopping. Schedule your workouts strategically and if you miss one, make sure you make it up. This is no time to go easy on yourself, at least physically. Just because your feet are killing you and you are exhausted doesn’t mean your body got the right kind of stimulus.
- Maximize Your Nutrition-
If you are not eating 5-6 meals / snacks per day then start now! Get in a routine of eating at least every 2-3 hours so you can keep your metabolism up and keep your body fat down. As the holidays get closer, do not kill or sabotage your holiday fat busting game plan by going back to very large infrequent meals. Eating foods with higher fiber and drinking more water will help. This will keep you full longer and keep you from a continuous calorie onslaught -especially if you have tons of tempting foods around you. Fill your stomach up with good stuff so you have less room to pack in the bad stuff.

If you know you are going to be around foods that trigger a wild attack like a shark feeding frenzy then be wise. If you know that you will have a hard time saying no, then arm yourself.
